Adidas Flagship Store Archive Update – Oxford Circus London

The archival section of the Adidas flagship store at Oxford Circus was reimagined to highlight the brand’s enduring influence on modern culture. Set within the retail environment, the exhibition explored the relationship between Adidas and the movements that have shaped its identity — from music and rave culture to skateboarding and sport.

Installed amongst the store’s contemporary layout, the archive space blended product, storytelling and visual history. Graphics, installations and curated displays traced the evolution of the brand while positioning its heritage within present-day culture.

Documenting Brand Heritage Within a Retail Environment

Photographing an in-store exhibition requires balancing atmosphere with clarity. The aim was to capture the scale of the installation while preserving detail within the archival elements — from historical references to cultural touchpoints spanning decades.

A dedicated section within the exhibition explored the origins of Adidas, grounding the contemporary display in the brand’s foundational history. The contrast between heritage storytelling and the modern flagship setting reinforced the continuity of identity across generations.
